1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Jira IQ Chrome extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Jira IQ is a Chrome browser extension that enhances Atlassian Jira with:

• AI-powered issue summaries and analysis
• Sprint IQ and burndown charts
• Completion predictions and velocity tracking
• Issue timeline visualization
• Duplicate detection and semantic search

The Service requires connection to your Atlassian Jira account via OAuth authentication.

3. Account and Access

3.1 Atlassian Account

You must have a valid Atlassian account with appropriate Jira access to use Jira IQ. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Atlassian credentials
• All activities that occur through your connected account
• Ensuring you have authorization to access the Jira data you view through the Service

3.2 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

4. Free and Paid Tiers

4.1 Free Tier

The free tier includes limited functionality:

• 30 AI queries per month
• 1 project
• Basic issue timeline

4.2 Pro Subscription

Pro subscription ($15/month or $12/month billed annually) unlocks all features. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the subscription fee via Stripe
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• No refunds for partial billing periods

4.3 Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial of Pro features. No credit card is required. Each user is entitled to one trial only.

4.4 Price Changes

We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate until their next renewal after the notice period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
• Circumvent usage limits or subscription requirements
• Share your subscription with others outside your organization
• Use automated tools to abuse the Service or API
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Access data you're not authorized to view in Jira
• Use the Service to violate Atlassian's terms of service

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

Jira IQ, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by us. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service according to these Terms.

6.2 Your Data

You retain all rights to your Jira data. We don't claim ownership of any content you access through the Service.

6.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without obligation to you.

7. Third-Party Services

Jira IQ integrates with:

• Atlassian/Jira - Subject to Atlassian's Terms
• Google Gemini API - For AI processing, subject to Google's Terms
• Stripe - For payments, subject to Stripe's Terms

We're not responsible for third-party services' availability, terms, or actions.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 "As Is" Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8.2 No Guarantees

We don't guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI-generated content will be accurate or complete
• Predictions or analytics will be correct
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

8.3 AI Limitations

AI features provide suggestions and analysis, not definitive answers. Always verify important information independently. AI outputs may contain errors or hallucinations.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
• We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your Jira data or how you use information obtained through the Service

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. To cancel a subscription, manage it through Stripe's customer portal or contact us.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, contact us at jiraiq.app@gmail.com. We'll try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.

12.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12.3 Jurisdiction

Any legal action must be brought in the courts located in the United States, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

13.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right doesn't waive that right.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours at any time.
